Hey Light workers,
You may have been carrying so much lately — more than most people know. And I see you.
The truth is, life doesn’t stop when we’re hurting or feel like we just can’t take any more chaos.
The world keeps spinning, responsibilities pile up and we’re expected to show up even when we feel like we’re falling apart inside. It’s exhausting.
But you don’t have to move at the world’s pace. If your soul is asking for rest, honour that.
Don’t shame yourself for needing time to breathe, to process, to heal.
How To Rest When Life Gets Overwhelming
Slowing down isn’t weakness; it’s wisdom.
Learning how to rest when life gets and feels overwhelming is an essential skill for your mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. Sometimes we think rest is “doing nothing,” but it’s actually a powerful act of self-care and regeneration.
Take a few deep breaths and allow your mind to settle.
Give yourself permission to pause, even for 5–10 minutes, without guilt.
Turn off devices, notifications or anything that pulls your energy away.
Even small moments of stillness can reset your energy and help you approach life with clarity.
What to Do When Life Feels Too Heavy
When the weight of life feels unbearable, it’s okay to ask for help. Let people in. Speak to a friend, a mentor or a professional. There is courage in admitting you can’t do it all alone.
Other practical ways to lighten the load include:
Journaling your feelings to release mental clutter
Gentle movement, like walking or stretching, to ease tension
Mindfulness or meditation exercises to stay present instead of spiraling into worries
Prioritising one task at a time instead of trying to do everything
Let Yourself Feel and Heal
Take a break when life feels overwhelming. Let yourself feel everything without judgement, including the pain, the frustration or the sadness. Your feelings are valid and they deserve space.
Healing isn’t a perfect journey. It’s messy, full of triggers, setbacks, and days when you feel like you’re back at square one. But even in the chaos, you are still healing. Every moment you choose to keep going, you are growing.
Speak kindly to yourself. You are doing the best you can and that’s more than enough.
Sending you love, light, and healing from my heart to yours.
